Lembram-se do Concurso de Fotografia Animais mais Cómicos do Mundo ? Pois cá estão os candidatos de 2021.

Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards (Prémios de Fotografia Cómica de Animais Selvagens, em tradução livre) e é o concurso de fotografia que todos os anos nos faz rir com momentos hilariantes que os fotógrafos conseguem captar nos animais em plena Natureza.

Este ano, concorreram ao prémio mais de 7 mil fotografias, enviadas de todo o mundo. Dessas, foram escolhidas as 42 finalistas, e cabe a nós escolher a nossa favorita.

Entre os candidatos de 2021, há animais variados: pombos, cavalos e cangurus da Austrália. Mas também há habitantes do fundo dos oceanos, cujos momentos captados são de ficar sem ar de tanto rir. Se preferir os animais terrestres ou aéreos também vai dar umas boas gargalhadas.

Para além de nos fazer rir, esta competição ajuda a proteger a vida selvagem, dado que parte do dinheiro angariado é doada à instituição Save Wild Orangutans, para salvar os orangotangos do Nacional Park Gunung Palung, Indonésia.

Os vencedores serão anunciados dia 22 de Outubro. O vencedor do Prémio para a Melhor Fotografia ganhará uma viagem de uma semana ao safari Alex Walker’s Serian, no Quénia, e um troféu feito à mão pela Art Garage,da Tanzânia.

Por que razão? Relatório divulgado em 6 Maio 2019 pelas Nações Unidas, elaborado por mais de 450 investigadores concluiu que a actividade humana está a colocar em risco de extinção um milhão de espécies em todas as regiões do mundo.

O relatório revela um número alarmante: mais de um milhão de espécies estão em risco de extinção, caso a actividade humana continue como tem acontecido. 

Caso actual e trágico, os fogos florestais na Austrália onde têm morrido milhares de animais, desde koalas, cangurus e muitas outras espécies.

Porque cada vez mais é necessário alertar para as alterações climáticas que levam a milhares de animais mortos ou em vias de extinção devido ao desaparecimento do seu habitat.

Describing nature’s decline as unprecedented and citing among many indicators, 1,000,000 species threatened with extinction, the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) laid bare the threats to all life on earth in its Global Assessment Report, released at UNESCO headquarters, the 6 May, 2019.

The bushfires in Australia have destroyed much of the habitat for the island’s wildlife, including koalas, kangaroos and rare birds

Up to 30% of koalas on New South Wales's mid-north coast may have been killed and many more may be endangered in South Australia in the country’s ongoing bushfire crisis after experts warned fires are the biggest threat Australian wildlife faces.
