Greenpeace (Estados Unidos) está a publicar no seu sítio web a história narrada por Campbell Plowden.
Campbell Plowden, na altura do acontecimento, activista da Greenpeace, descreve uma das mais loucas semanas do seu activismo durante catorze anos de apoio a Greenpeace. A que deu origem ao filme Big Miracle, contextualizando a verdadeira história, a fantástica campanha que teve como objectivo acabar com a caça à baleia e com os baleeiros.

Plowden, then a Greenpeace whales campaigner, describes one of the craziest weeks in his 14 years with Greenpeace, and puts the whale rescue story dramatized the movie Big Miracle in the context of a wider campaign to end whaling worldwide."

The film is now playing in the theaters in the United States. If you teach in the States, go to the movies with your students. It's based a true story, don't forget it.
Some years ago, we watched in the classroom another true story Eight Below about the rescue of eight Siberian Yuski in Antarctida. We loved so much!
After watching the video, in the classroom, we discussed the story, and done different activities on the theme. Some of us wrote lovely creative texts.
